Wendy Buckley

As an End-of-Life Doula, my commitment is to provide holistic support and respect to individuals and families navigating the complexities of end-of-life experiences, regardless of age or circumstances. This includes sudden death, aging, illness, infants, and children.

Personal Background

I have faced the rewards and challenges of juggling life as a wife, mum, and nanna to our grandchildren. I am dedicated to being an excellent ambassador for our family, regularly exercising, living a healthy lifestyle, and delivering kindness, love, and care to our family, friends, and community.
Caring for the community, wilderness, and wildlife comes naturally to me. I have a long history of working with volunteer organisations in both Australia and Zambia.

Professional Background

With over 42 years of experience in the global retail travel industry, I deeply appreciate the value of listening to and respecting the personal values and needs of others. A highlight of my career was working as a Camp Manager for two years in a Zambian safari camp. There, I hosted guests from around the world and worked closely with the local community and NGO’s, gaining first-hand knowledge of Zambian culture and witnessing the impacts of sustainable living.

Personal Experiences

Throughout my life, I have faced my own battles, including miscarriages, breast cancer, and managing chronic pain. These experiences have taught me that each person’s journey is individual and that they need to be listened to and not judged.

My Commitment

Drawing from my personal life experiences and the knowledge gained as an End-of-Life Doula, I am committed to supporting and respecting the needs and values of the dying and their families. My goal is to deliver compassion, knowledge, choice, kindness, and support, regardless of age.

All life has meaning and creates memories that will live on forever. I am here to listen and support you on your journey.

Warm regards,

Wendy
